Interested how love works? Let Anna Kendrick and James Corden explain.

The Pitch Perfect 2 star appeared on The Late Late Show Wednesday and teamed up with the British host to perform the soundtrack to a love story. From the first date to the split, both actor-singers perform a medley of classic songs that perfectly sum up the range of emotions.

Kendrick kicks off the performance with Dionne Warwick's "I Say a Little Prayer" while getting ready. Sitting in front of a mirror getting ready, the Trolls actress appears nervous and anxious before inevitably putting on a red robe and meeting Corden at a bar. The Into the Woods alum took the singing reigns from her, belting out "Lady in Red" by Chris de Burgh.

Their chemistry is undeniable, which is probably why their relationship progresses to the next level: The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face." Corden and Kendrick hit the dance floor and party the night away until it's time to move on to Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love to You." The former co-stars heat things up by getting frisky on a bed, but then they fast forward to the next phase: Partridge Family's "I Think I Love You."

And as they say...first comes love, then comes—marriage. Cue Bruno Mars' "Marry You" and Corden and Kendrick getting hitched! The bride and groom tied the knot and began normal, everyday life. While preparing dinner together, concerns over trust and broken hearts arose, leading them to duet "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" by Elton John and Kiki Dee. Kendrick put a dramatic spin on it by subtly threatening her now-husband with a knife.

It's a good thing she was armed, though, because she started singing Shaggy's "It Wasn't Me," which, of course, is a song about infidelity. "But I caught you on the counter," Kendrick sang, accusatorily. Although Corden repeatedly denied the allegations, as per the lyrics, the couple just couldn't move past it. It was time for Adele's "Someone Like You."

But will things work out for this passionate couple? Find out by watching the video!
