Nick Jonas may be in Toronto, but his heart is with the people of Orlando.

During Sunday night's iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards, the former Jonas Brothers member received the International Artist of the Year award partly thanks to his solo albums including Last Year Was Complicated.

While thanking fans for his trophy, Nick couldn't help but stop and pay tribute to those who lost their lives recently at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando.

"It's been a tough couple of weeks—a lot of hate and violence in the world—but it's moments like this where we can all come together and celebrate the good times and be full of joy and happiness," he shared with the audience. "It's a beautiful thing so thank you for this."

He continued, "I dedicate this to all the families and victims of the shootings recently. We love you and we have not forgotten."
