Alexa and husband Carlos PenaVega announced this week that they are expecting their first child. The couple is currently vacationing in the island of Mayreau in the Caribbean.
The Big Time Rush member confirmed the news with a photo of the two posing with a pregnancy test. "Breaking news! It's #ClearblueConfirmed a lil PenaVega is on the way! #ItsHappening #HolyWow #ClearbluePartner," Carlos tweeted.
The Spy Kids star posted a different photo, but also with a pregnancy test. "I cannot believe I finally get to say this... WE'RE PREGNANT!!! It's #ClearblueConfirmed that a little blessing is joining the PenaVega family!!!" the actress captioned the post. "We can't wait!!! #ItsHappening #HolyWow #LosForDaddyOfTheYear #ClearbluePartner"
The two began dating and got engaged in 2013. They said, "I do," on Jan. 4, 2014, in a gorgeous wedding in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, with a wedding party of 18 family members and friends. Interestingly, Alexa Vega and Carlos Pena joined and changed their last names to PenaVega.
Last year, we were lucky enough to watch the two as rivals. During season 21, the pair became the first-ever couple to compete against each other on Dancing With the Stars. Carlos was paired with Whitney Carson and placed fourth during the competition. Alexa and Mark Ballas were eliminated two weeks earlier.
The couple has yet to announce how far along they are or the gender of their "little nugget."
