The drama is heating up behind the cameras for this reality star.

After Michael Wainstein filed for divorce from his wife of eight years, Real Housewives of New York cast member Jules Wainstein, allegations emerged claiming Jules had caught her ex cheating, which incited the divorce. However, according to Michael's lawyer Mark Jay Heller, those allegations are incorrect and Jules' actions say otherwise.

"We prepared papers dated May 13. We sued her for divorce. She has not answered the papers. If she had any basis for counterclaim against him, she would have done so," he told E! News. "This incorrect allegation that he was busted for committing adultery, if it's true, she certainly would have answered his papers countersuing him for adultery. She has not done that."

Following the divorce filing on Wednesday, the reality star left her New York City apartment Thursday donning a coral dress to attend a charity event for the A Caring Hand organization with friends.

Meanwhile, Heller says the former couple is still living together with their son, Jagger, and daughter, Rio, in the family's home. However, after Jules called the police on her ex Thursday morning, claiming that he was "speaking to her in a threatening manner," it seems their home life is not so civil.

"Obviously, it's not going very well," Heller added. "When it gets to court, the judge may order someone to move out. They don't have a court date yet."

While Michael's camp shot down the cheating claims, a source told E! News their relationship was on the rocks before she made her Bravo debut.

"They were having issues before the show, but I think pressure from filming clearly put a strain the marriage," the insider said at the time of the divorce filing. "It brought things to a head."

A second source warns that this split may not be so smooth. "This divorce is contentious and it's going to be ongoing."

Meanwhile, Jules is staying as strong as possible for her main priority—her children.  "My kids and I will be just fine -- better than fine. Truth is that it's too easy to get caught up in your own reality, especially when you are blindsided and betrayed by someone who is supposed to be a partner and friend. I'm trusting and open, but I'm also strong and practical. This isn't the end of the world, it's just a big bump in the road, but I'll get over it and I'll be stronger for it," she wrote in a blog post for Bravo.

"While my heart might be broken, it's still good as gold. There are bigger issues in the world that need tackling, and there are bigger realities that need to be addressed. My reality is that my kids and I are healthy and happy."

E! has reached out to Jules' camp for further comment.
