Real Housewives of New York City's Jules Wainstein Calls Police on Ex Amid ''Contentious'' Divorce

Drama continues to unfold when it comes to Jules and Michael Wainstein's relationship.

E! News has learned that the Real Housewives of New York star called the police on her estranged husband this morning after feeling threatened by her ex. "Jules was the one who called the police," a source tells us, adding that Jules needed help because Michael was speaking to her in a threatening manner. No arrests were made.

The call to police comes on the heels of the reality star announcing that their marriage has come to an end after eight years together. The insider adds, "This divorce is contentious and it's going to be ongoing."

Michael filed for divorce from Jules after she allegedly caught him cheating on her. "They were having issues before the show but I think pressure from filming clearly put a strain the marriage," an insider previously told us before adding, "It brought things to a head."

The exes have two children together, Rio and Jagger. 

Unfortunately there's more bad news for Jules.

The Bravolebrity was also hit with a lien for allegedly refusing to pay $25,000 in bills related to her lux New York condo, which E! News has learned is not the family home, but Jules' apartment that she lived in prior to her marriage.

According to The Daily Mail, The Board of Managers of the Apthorp Condominium filed a lien against Wainstein accusing her of not paying them $25,243.74 in costs related to commons charges and other amounts potentially linked to association fees. The lien, which was filed on May 5, remains active, meaning Wainstein has not made any payments.

Luckily, Jules is receiving support from her friends during this tough time. The reality star took to Instagram to share a few snapshots with her nearest and dearest, and captioned one of the photos with, "I get by with a little help from my friends #friendsthatarefamily."
