Lena Dunham Totally Fools Jimmy Fallon During "Box of Lies" on The Tonight Show

The actress seemed like a human lie detector during Tuesday night's segment

She's an actress, a writer, a director and now, we have one more title to add to Lena Dunham's resume—human lie detector.

The Girls star joined Jimmy Fallon for yet another round of his hysterical "Box of Lies" game segment. For those unfamiliar with the new Tonight Show tradition, Fallon and his guest sit across from each other with a barrier in between them. After selecting a boxed mystery item, each player then has to describe the item to the other player, who has to guess whether they're being lied to or not.

To make matters trickier, the items are beyond eccentric, so it's even more difficult to determine whether the opponent is running wild with their imagination or simply describing what's right in front of them.

Whether intentional or not, Dunham developed a strategy early on in the round when she mistakenly got a little too dramatic falsely describing her first object. It was a clear red flag to her veteran opponent, Fallon, and he immediately called her out for her lies.

However, nothing would get by Dunham. When it was finally Fallon's turn, he picked a gladiator-style helmet filled with miniature rubber ducks, but decided to make everything up and describe a Barbie hot tub filled with three of the Brady Brunch kids.

"You're the biggest liar I've ever met in my life," she declared. "Like you could recognize a Barbie hot tub immediately!"

By the time the final round arrived, the two were neck in neck. Dunham selected a book of Grimm's fairytales with a carved out slot inside holding a bottle of whiskey. "I don't know what to say," Dunham faked while looking around and rolling her eyes. "It's just so weird. What am I supposed to say? I can't lie about this. It's too weird."

The strategy worked. Dunham fooled Fallon fair and square and emerged a champion. If the Golden Globe winner ever grows tired of acting, there's always the CIA. Nice work, Lena!
