Todd Williamson/WireImageAmber Heard recently made allegations of domestic abuse against Johnny Depp, but according to one report, she's also been on the opposite side of the situation in the past.
E! News can confirm the 30-year-old actress was arrested in 2009 after striking her then-girlfriend, Tasya van Ree, at an airport.
Per TMZ, who broke the news, the couple got in an argument on September 14, 2009, at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Heard reportedly grabbed and hit van Ree in the arm, which upset the photographer and led to Heard's arrest. She was taken into custody, booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and appeared in court the next day.
However, because both women lived in California at the time, the prosecutor did not move forward with the case, and Heard was let go with a warning.
E! cannot confirm the report and reps for Heard and van Ree have not returned out request for comment.
The report comes just a day after Heard's latest move in having a "consultation" meeting with renowned feminist lawyer Gloria Allred and her California firm, Allred Maroko Goldberg, on Monday as the actress continues in her divorce lawsuit and restraining order against Depp.
Last month, less than a week after filing for divorce from Depp, Heard filed a domestic violence restraining order against her husband of 15 months, which was subsequently granted.
The following day, photos were released of the actress with bruises on her face and a cut on her lip. According to a source close to Amber, the injuries occurred last December when Johnny allegedly attempted to injure his wife with a pillow.
In the court documents for the restraining order, Heard said that her estranged husband has "been on a downward spiral for a few months" and has "battled with substance abuse for quite some time."
Heard's friend iO Tillett Wright—who was named as a witness to one of Depp's blow ups in Heard's court documents—defended the actress on Twitter Monday night, sounding off on the constant "victim blaming" being thrown against the blonde.
Wright wrote, "BULLS--T. I've had enough. I saw the bruises. Many times. And the fat lip. And the cut head...How much evidence does a woman need to present?! She has photos, texts, witnesses, and filed a restraining order," she said before adding, "This culture of victim blaming makes me sick. I'm a witness. I'm here. I'm standing up. I can't take any more of this witch hunt."
While Depp has not directly addressed the accusations made by Heard, his rep released a statement shortly after the couple filed for divorce.
"Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life," his rep shared with E! News. "Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."
