While Ross Geller David Schwimmer is well known for his easy-going on-screen attitude, fans experienced an entirely new side to the comedian Thursday night when he entered into a high-stakes rap battle with James Corden. The actor arrived with his eyes on the prize, immediately throwing verbal jabs at Corden's weight, wife and work.
"We all know as an actor, your roles were all the same," he began. "The heavy best friend, the humorous sidekick with a belly so big you can't find your own d—k."
Next, Schwimmer took aim at the late-night host's wife of four years, Julia Carey. "To be clear, I love the English—I married your kind, but while your wife chose you my bad she blind?" Zing!
However, the most memorable slam came with this quip: "Did you think I'd be scared, walk around gingerly when everyone knows your middle name is Kimberley." Yes, that is his real middle name.
Fortunately, Corden wasn't going to take the insults lying down. "Millennials, let me introduce you to this guy. His name is David. He was famous in ‘95," he began, concluding with this ultimate insult.
"Now you've got the chance to prove you've got balls while I ignore you like Jennifer Aniston does your calls." We can still feel that burn.
However, a woman was needed in this mix, so funny lady Rebel Wilson showed up to swiftly put both men in their place, particularly Corden and his newest success, Carpool Karaoke.
"You think it's your big thing, but everyone is thinking shut up and let Adele sing," she burned.
While Wilson may have walked away the champion of the three-way battle, don't worry, James—we'll happily listen to you sing any day.
