The 32-year-old is set to give birth this summer to a baby girl, her sister Paris Hilton revealed this week. It was revealed in January Nicky was pregnant with her and husband James Rothschild's first child. She wed the British banking heir in London last July.
"I'm so excited for the baby," Paris, 35, told Us Weekly at Fashion Institute of Technology's annual gala at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. "She's going to be such a beautiful little girl, and I can't wait to meet her."
Paris also said her sister and her husband have been getting their daughter's nursery ready and that she herself was also shopping for the child at baby stores.
"Now that I know it's a girl, it's getting easier to buy things for her," she said. "I love all the dresses I got her. There are so many beautiful dresses and little princess outfits. So I can't wait to see her in them."
Nicky has herself kept mum about her pregnancy, although she has posted photos of her growing baby bump on Instagram.
The FIT gala honored the Hilton sisters' friend and designer Dennis Basso. Nicky showcased her baby bump in a strapless, cream, empire-waist gown by the designer, which featured flower appliqués. Paris wore a nude, beaded, sparkling Dennis Basso gown with a mermaid-style skirt.
Nicky and her husband's daughter will be the first grandchild for her parents Richard Hilton, a real estate businessman and hotel heir of the famous Hilton family, and Kathy Hilton, and fourth for James' mother, Anita Rothschild. James is a member of the famous and wealthy Europe-based Rothschild family and through his late father, Amschel Rothschild, he is a descendant of Victor Rothschild, the third Baron Rothschild.
