Princess Charlotte is absolutely adorable in four new photos Kensington Palace released Sunday ahead of her first birthday and very much resembles her older brother Prince George.
While it's pretty common for siblings to look alike, it's still really cute when it happens. Genetics!
Charlotte and George, who will turn 3 in July, share similar facial features (those cheeks!) and look like a mix of parents Kate Middleton and Prince William.
However, the royal sister and brother have different hair and eye colors; Charlotte has chestnut brown hair like mom and blue eyes like dad (and uncle Prince Harry, late grandmother Princess Diana, grandfather Prince Charles and great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II), while George has light blond hair like dad and Diana and brown eyes (which appear to come from Kate's side of the family, although the Duchess of Cambridge herself has green-hazel eyes, as does sister Pippa Middleton).
Of course, babies' eye colors often change during the first year of their lives. Since Charlotte turns 1 year old Monday, hers more likely to remain the way they are.
Both Charlotte and her brother to have begun developing their motor skills around the same age as well.
In an official photo released ahead of his own first birthday, George is seen standing up on his own in a pair of striped blue overalls. In one of Kate's four new photos of Charlotte, the little princess stands and pushes a baby walker filled with blocks in the garden of their Norfolk home.
