Justin Timberlake, you’ve just won an Emmy—what are you going to do next?

How about show up at the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony on Sunday night?

As I’ve been reporting in Planet Gossip, there have been some talks regarding Timberlake and Andy Samberg performing their Saturday Night Live skit “Dick in a Box,” which picked up the Emmy for Original Music and Lyrics at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony on Saturday. Samberg and the rest of the writing team behind the hilarious ditty were there to pick up their statuette, but Timberlake was in Vegas for MTV’s Video Music Awards.

As of right now, Timberlake and Samberg are not expected to perform on Sunday. Instead, an insider tells me, Emmy producer Ken Ehrlich has asked Justin, at the very least, to make an appearance during the opening of the show, which kicks off at 8 p.m. ET from the Shrine Auditorium in downtown Los Angeles.

That's 5 p.m. PT, a fact that figures prominently here.

Timberlake has a concert later that same evening at the nearby Staples Center at 8 p.m., and  “he would be doing a brief opening,” my insider reports. “He would not be singing a song, and he wouldn’t be sitting in the audience. He’d be leaving right after his appearance.”

I’m told Ehrlich is still waiting for Timberlake’s reply.

Justin's rep did not comment, nor did a rep for the Emmys.
