Is that really you, Lucy Hale?
If you're a true pop culture fan, chances are you would have no trouble identifying the Pretty Little Liars star out and about. But as it turns out, the actress gets confused for plenty of famous faces including the one and only Selena Gomez.
"There was a phase growing up, people thought I was Selena Gomez," she admitted on The Talk Tuesday afternoon. "During the time she started dating Justin Bieber, they would try to take my phone to see if I was texting Justin Bieber. And I'm like, ‘I'll try to take a picture with you to make your dreams come true if you think I'm Selena, but I am not.'"
It also didn't help when Lucy and Selena both wore little red Dior dresses on two separate red carpets. Coincidence? We think not.
The comparisons don't stop there, however. As she's gotten older, the 26-year-old has been recognized as everyone from a Modern Family star to a contestant trying to win Ben Higgins' heart.
"People think Sarah Hyland, Jenna Coleman, and even more recently JoJo from The Bachelor," she admitted to Sara Gilbert and her co-hosts. "She's my favorite. She's my pick."
Mistaken identities aside, Lucy is in the middle of filming season six of Pretty Little Liars. And while speculation has surfaced that one of the show's most beloved characters may be leaving the show, Lucy is setting the record straight.
"It often gets misconstrued when I say we're done after season seven. I think people think I'm quitting but I'm not," she explained. "Good things must come to an end, you know? As far as I know for now, we're all going to wrap it up after this next season."
She added, "We've had a really good run. Seven years is unheard of. I think we should end it with a bang."
