Scott Gries/Getty ImagesThe new season of Dancing With the Stars won’t begin until March, but rumors are already swirling that Jackass stuntman Stephen “Steve-O” Glover will be a likely contestant.
However, DWTS professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy doubts Steve-O really wants to be puttin' on any dancing shoes.
“I think it’s going to to be one of those Jackass pranks,” Chmerkovskiy said last night at an L.A. benefit for at-risk youth organizaiton Alternative Intervention Methods (AIM). “Somebody probably dared him, and now he has to do it.”
If he does end up on the show, fellow pro dancer Karina Smirnoff thinks she’ll probably be partnered with him. “Based on the history of the partners I have gotten, usually I get people who have very strong personalities,” said Smirnoff, who hosted last night's benefit.
Smirnoff’s previous DWTS partners have included Miley Cyrus' dad, Billy Ray, R&B singer Mario and now-ex-boyfriend Mario Lopez, among others.
But Steve-O would likely prove to be Smirnoff's biggest challenge yet. She wondered aloud, “I would not know where to start with him.”
