Jimmy Fallon posted his very first video blog to give fans a look at what he plans to do with his upcoming NBC late night show.

And current late night kingpin Jay Leno tromped all over it with news that he'll be taking over a chunk of the Peacock net in primetime.

Welcome to late night, Jimmy.

Despite being a bit overshadowed, the affable former SNL dude introduced his historic new digs, a soundstage once used by Milton Berle, Johnny Carson and the local news team. Then he gave a shout-out to his house band, the Roots, before cutting away from them after about ten seconds.

Cutting away from the house band mid-song? Maybe Fallon is ready to be a late-night host...
