Have you noticed an extra amount of purple around you today? That's because people all over the world are joining together against bullying and celebrating Spirit Day!
The holiday has been celebrated every third Thursday in October since 2010 as a way to remember young people who have taken their lives and committed suicide due to bullying.
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance against Defamation (GLAAD) teams up with celebrities, sports teams and even the White House every year to help promote the cause and show a strong message of support and acceptance for our youth.
This year, celebs like Laverne Cox, Caitlyn Jenner, Britney Spears and more have joined in to celebrate Spirit Day and rally against bullying.
