Hearts are beating a bit faster since the release of Carrie Underwood's newest track.

The 32-year-old former American Idol contestant debuted her latest single, "Heartbeat," fresh off her unreleased upcoming album Storyteller. In this new track released Friday, the new mom slows it down for a romantic ballad about driving away with the one you love for a private dance to "the rhythm of your heartbeat."

Written by Underwood, Zach Crowell and Ashley Gorley, the second song to premiere off the highly-anticipated album is a perfect platform for highlighting the seasoned performer's strong vocals. Backed by a low-key musical accompaniment, her award-winning pipes are on full blast—thankfully! It's a stark contrast from the album's first debut single, "Smoke Break"—a punchy country hit with a rocking beat and sassy tone.

Lyrical phrases off the second song like "Baby, we won't need a song. We'll make a falling star wish" and "One more slow kiss. What are we waiting on?" make it very clear that Underwood's stomach is filled to the brim with butterflies fives years after marrying husband Mike Fisher.

The blonde beauty seems to be having her best year yet with an album set for release on October 23, her brand new baby boy Isaiah Michael Fisher to ogle over, and her upcoming Nov. 4 gig hosting the CMA Awards for the eighth time alongside fellow country superstar Brad Paisley.

To top off our envy, the new mommy looks simply amazing less than seven months after giving birth for the first time. While we are jealous of her svelte figure, we don't really wish for her sometimes overwhelming schedule.

"After, like, killing myself trying to do everything and doing it all myself, it took me a while to say, ‘Okay. I need to ask people around me,'" she told E! News recently. "It would be just those days, and everybody has them, that everything just seems like, I have these twenty things to do on my list, my baby is crying, and I don't know why he's crying. There'd be these times that I would just cry with him."

With the expected success of this new album, we highly doubt Underwood will be shedding any more tears. Cheer up, Carrie—you have a major hit on your hands!
