Do you know where you were when you became hooked on Breaking Bad? How about where you were when you vowed to binge all of Pretty Little Liars?

We're not talking about your location, because the answer is most likely: "On my couch/bed, pantless and shame-eating an entire jar of Nutella. You know, the ones from Costco." When we ask where you were, we mean where you were in the season, as in: which episode really hooked you onto a show? You might not remember, but Netflix does.

Some fascinating new data was just released by Netflix, and now we know which episode of certain TV shows reeled in viewers for good. You know when you recommend a show to someone and you say something like, "just at least watch until episode [blank]; that's when it gets really good." Now Netflix has a handy guide for you to tell people exactly which episode to get to, because that's when they will be hooked for life.

Netflix

"Given the precious nature of primetime slots on traditional TV, a series pilot is arguably the most important point in the life of the show," said Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer for Netflix. "However, in our research of more than 20 shows across 16 markets, we found that no one was ever hooked on the pilot. This gives us confidence that giving our members all episodes at once is more aligned with how fans are made."

While the data (which was pulled from all over the world) couldn't pinpoint exact moments a fan fell in love with a show, it did reveal the episode when 70% of viewers went on to complete season one. That's what defined a "hooked episode."
