They're not crazy about some of her flubs.

Well, well, well, Betty Cantrell. You've moved on up from Miss Georgia to Miss America, but can you handle the pressure?

Or better yet, can you handle the tweets?

The second-most famous beauty pageant (thanks to Donald Trump's antics rocketing Miss USA to the top spot) took place last night and it was certainly a sight to see. On its face Miss America was your pretty standard pageant—there were ball gowns, mediocre talents and cringe-worthy current events questions. Aside from the now-infamous Vanessa Williams apology nothing too crazy went down, but do you think that stopped the world at large from taking to Twitter to express all their thoughts on the evening?

No it did not.

Because admittedly, a show like Miss America provides a lot of material for aspiring Twitter comedians. Some people decided to simply provide cheeky coverage of the broadcast's happenings, from the over-the-top fashions to the very enthusiastic judges:

But just when you thought you were going to read your 100th tweet about the overuse of hairspray, the soon-to-be winner stepped up to the plate for the interview portion. And boy did she bring it! The cringes, that is.

Cantrell was, fatefully, asked about Tom Brady's balls. Well, technically she was asked about the football players guilt as it related to Deflategate, but the conversation naturally turned to, yes, balls.

"Did he cheat? That's a really good question, I'm not sure," Miss Georgia began. ""I think I'd have to be there to see the ball and to feel it to make sure if it was deflated or not deflated, but if there was any question there then yes, I think he cheated. If there was any question to be had I think that he definitely cheated and he should have been suspended for that. That's not fair."

To say that this answer set off the Twittersphere would be an understatement. Predictably, a lot of people were really flabbergasted by her discussion of balls, some were slightly concerned about her ability to form a sentence, and others still were just sick of hearing about Brady, already.

Now we certainly enjoyed reading this commentary, but in our opinion any pageant answer that doesn't include the phrase "such as The Iraq," it's okay in our book.
