A time machine may not exist yet, but that hasn't stopped Oprah Winfrey from traveling back in time!

The media maven debuted three separate covers for the October 2015 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine—but with a twist unlike anything we've seen on her covers before. Each cover is themed by a different decade showcasing iconic looks from the '50s, '60s and '70s. In typical fashion, the former Oprah Winfrey Show host didn't hold anything back, rocking hippie-inspired bell bottom jeans, platform shoes, and wild face-framing curls in one shot, then switching gears to the always classic Burberry trench, canary yellow accessories, and a standard mod pale pout. Winfrey rounded out the trio with a very classic little black dress, an upswept bun and a shiny candy-apple red manicure—an ensemble seemingly plucked from the closet of Audrey Hepburn herself.

"Trends come and go, but a classic look always feels right," the CEO of OWN said of the ensemble. No argument here, Oprah.

The Emmy winner has certainly shocked readers with past covers of the magazine—remember the giant afro? Her lounge with a lion? Jimmy Kimmel as her loyal holiday elf? But despite the big hair and even higher heels, these covers speak more to the mogul's simpler side, one that she has embraced more with age.

"My taste has changed so much over the years and I have found that as I get older, I just like things to be simpler," she says.

While the looks are historically fitting, don't let Oprah fool you! She still managed to sneak in one subtle modern surprise: an Apple watch. Always embracing innovation, the journalist wears the high-tech timepiece on her left wrist in her 1960s tableau—a silent nod to always finding a balance. The wardrobe choice is symbolically fitting considering the magazine's monthly theme is "Find Your Comfort Zone!"

"More than taking risks or stepping out of your zone, I think people get stuck and they get comfortable with the same things being the same way they've always been. I always say you need to take little baby steps," she says. "It's the little things that allow you to not get yourself stuck in a rut."

At 61 years old, it's clear the executive producer is far from a rut. Keep the surprises coming, Oprah!
