From People:
Brooke Shields on Katie Holmes' Broadway debut in Arthur Miller's All My Sons:
“She will be so happy about making that decision. There is nothing like it. It's the Olympics. It's the college of theater.”
So Suddenly Susan was, what, postgrad study? Of course, we didn't graduate from Princeton University like Ms. Shields, but we're pretty sure that a "college of theater" already exists in actual colleges that, as part of their curriculum, teach theater.
Still, you're right: Being on Broadway is exactly like the Olympics, the only exception being that you're not very likely to see Stephen Sondheim or Patti LuPone in a Gatorade commerical.
