Lauren Conrad Opens Up About Her Marriage and Reveals How Many Kids She Hopes to Have With William Tell!

"Dreaming of the things we will do 20 years from now is so fun," the former Hills star says

What a year it's been!

Lauren Conrad and William Tell will celebrate their first wedding anniversary on Sept. 13, and like all happy newlyweds, they're still in the honeymoon phase. As the 29-year-old fashion designer admitted in a blog post earlier this week, life is so much sweeter with a sweetheart in it. "My favorite thing about being married is knowing that I have a partner in life that I get to do so many wonderful things with," Conrad wrote. "Dreaming of the things we will do 20 years from now is so fun."

Conrad said the "hardest" aspect of marriage is compromise. "You always want to be considerate of each other," said the author and lifestyle maven, who found fame via MTV's hit reality show Laguna Beach and its spinoff, The Hills. "It's not just about you anymore."

How many children does Conrad, the oldest of three kids, hope to have with Tell?

"Maybe two," she said. "That way we aren't outnumbered."

Conrad and Tell met through mutual friends on Valentine's Day in 2012.

Asked that year how to find The One, the lifestyle blogger responded by saying the right guy is out there—somewhere! "So many smart, beautiful girls with full time jobs struggle with where to meet a great guy," Conrad said. "I think the best way to meet someone you are compatible with is doing something you really enjoy."

"Now, when I say something that you enjoy I don't mean shopping, visiting a farmers market or taking a cooking class. These are things that men do for women, but don't necessarily enjoy doing by themselves. (Yes there are exceptions, but for the most part dudes aren't waking up early on Sunday morning to pick up some organic kale chips and a juice.) Instead, try out activities that you enjoy and think a guy would like, too. If you enjoy watching sports (you don't have to be a fanatic) try a sports bar with a couple friends. If you enjoy music, a low-key show is a great place to meet a guy. If you like art then try finding local art shows to attend. The bottom line is, don't drag yourself to places just to meet a guy. Do things that you love and hopefully you will find someone who can enjoy them with you," Conrad suggested. "If nothing else you'll have a great time until you find Mr. Right."
