Eva Longoria can take criticism, that is, if it's warranted.

The former Desperate Housewives actress took to Twitter today to lash out at reports that she was pretending to have poor eyesight, all in the name of selling some chic eyewear via social media.

But fret not, it turns out that Longoria really does use prescription lenses, and she let the world know all about it with one helluva tweet.

After posting a collage of no fewer than four images of herself—wearing glasses, naturally—the 40-year-old tweeted, "It's literally a simple google search lol." And…scene.

Longoria also took to WhoSay to post a rather lengthy note to media outlets that claimed she was faking eyesight issues to earn a buck, and slammed those for not doing their research.

"If you had done your journalistic duty (it's actually not that hard, a more thorough google job, or one phone call to my camp and they could have provided you any documentation) you would see that I have been wearing READING glasses since May 3, 2013," she wrote.

"Next time you want to write an article calling someone 'shameful' why don't you do your research because that is your responsibility as a 'journalist' and the Sydney Morning Herald should hold you to that 'high' standard even though you are just the Lifestyle journalist. It sounds like maybe you need some glasses yourself. In that case @SpecsaversAustralia has some awesome, stylish glasses available! I recommend the Collette Dinnigan collection!"
