"'Scuse me, sir? Do you have any idea how fast you were hopping along just now? I'm sorry, I'm going to have to put you under arrest. The charge? Too much fluff and eyes so large that they could probably get away with anything. Now wings up so I can pat you down."
That's what we imagine the Boulder Country Sheriff's deputy said to the tiny, adorable baby Northern Saw Whet owl when she came across it the middle of the road. You can tell by the paranoid look on the owl's face that it was definitely guilty of something and it was trying to act cool and natural while the cop stooped down to give it the third degree.
And by "third degree," we mean the deputy just wanted to make sure the owl was safe and after some back and forth that included "hi!" and some clicks from the little owl, the animal flew safely away according to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
Watch the adorable video above and try to resist all that fluff and those big ol' eyes.
