E! EntertainmentGeorge Hamilton is showing his softer side.
On tonight's premiere episode of Stewarts & Hamiltons, the usually bright and bubbly actor gets emotional and even sheds a few tears while talking to his son Ashley Hamilton about his past addiction to drugs and alcohol.
During a big family dinner at Alana Stewart's house, Ashley reveals, "Well, I started working on a solo record and also I work at a rehab facility and I do sober companion stuff with people who are addicts, 24 hours a day."
"That's pretty honorable," George Hamilton Jr. says.
"I'm doing what I have to do," Ashley adds.
"You know what I'm very proud," George says fighting back tears. "First of all there are about four times where we almost lost you in your life. And you pull through it and I'm very proud that you're doing it."
"And that's why I care for him [George Jr.]," a very emotional George continues. "I want for him not to have to go through what you went through."
"Growing up as a kid in Hollywood we had everything but that comes with problems. I went through a hard time with drugs and alcohol. So stupid. I've blown everything. I have a second chance. I gotta give it everything I got," Ashley says.
"I'm proud of you for what you do," George adds.
