There are plenty of brunette beauties in England...
But how many of them look so much like Kate Middleton? And what are the chances that Prince William would be partnering with two of them?! (Albeit in completely different ways, of course.)
Meet Dr. Gemma Mullen, who was the doctor on call yesterday when the Duke of Cambridge completed his first rescue mission since becoming a full-time pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. The pair were among the crew dispatched to aid a man in his 50s who had suffered a suspected heart attack, according to the Daily Mail.
Well, mission accomplished! The patient, from Felixstowe, Suffolk, arrived safely after being flown 50 miles to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for treatment.
William is based in Cambridge and is on call for emergencies in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
"It's sort of a follow-on from where I was in the military with my search and rescue role," William told reporters Monday, his first full day on the job. "There are many of the same kind of skills and a job like this is very worthwhile, valuable and there's an element of duty. It's an important area for me to be involved in to continue my career and training."
"You could see William in the front seat of the helicopter when it touched down on the helipad," an onlooker who witnessed the royal's arrival at the hospital told the Mail.
"The patient was unloaded by paramedics and taken inside. William got out and had a look around, checking everything was OK with his chopper. Word got around the hospital pretty quickly that he had flown in and some nurses who were on a break rushed out to see if they could see him. They were all trying to take pictures on their phones and were waving as he took off."
And Mullen couldn't help but get caught up in the hubbub. But she can rest easy knowing that she's saving lives and people think she happens to resemble one of the most famously lovely ladies in the world.
Not a bad day on the job!
