Rapper Hussein Fatal died Saturday after being involved in a fatal car crash. He was 38 years old.
Members of his hip-hop group, The Outlawz, confirmed his passing on Twitter, where they posted a picture in his honor.
E.D.I. Mean and Young Noble, the remaining members of The Outlawz, which was formed by late rapper Tupac Shakur in 1995, also tweeted a link to a GoFundMe page to help Fatal's family pay for funeral expenses.
"Born Bruce Edward Washington Jr. known to most as 'Hussein Fatal' to some he was 'Dizza.' A father, a uncle and a beloved brother," the page reads. "Bruce has been called to be with The Most High and the family is asking for support to lift some of the financial burden. Thank you in advance for your support it is well appreciated."
Fatal was one of Shakur's closest collaborators after making his debut on the double album, All Eyez on Me. He also appeared in tracks such as "Hit 'Em Up," the supposed diss record against Notorious B.I.G., and "All Bout U." He went on to release his own studio albums, including In the Line of Fire, Fatal and Born Legendary.
During his separation from the group, Fatal worked with rapper Ja Rule, appearing on his Blood in My Eye album. The "I'm Real" rapper took to Instagram to pay tribute to his friend.
Fatal ultimately reunited with his former group in 2010.
