Sometimes laughter really is the best medicine.

Tonight Show fans will be happy to know that host Jimmy Fallon is on the mend after stepping out in New York for the first time since undergoing minor surgery for a hand injury. Reportedly taking a helicopter ride to the Hamptons, the funnyman accessorized his dark sunglasses and baseball cap with a white cast around his left wrist and pinky and ring fingers.

"Tweeting with one hand," Fallon captioned a photo of his hand all wrapped up after the June 26 accident. "Tripped and caught my fall (good thing)! Ring caught on side of table almost ripped my finger off (bad thing)."

Since then, the 40-year-old has continued to share on Twitter details about the recovery process.

"All looking great!! Thank you to these great doctors and nurses and Jello," Fallon explained. After a fan asked how his hand was healing, Jimmy replied, "Great. But was a little scary. Story to come when we return!"

It's safe to say the comedian will probably have some great material when he gets back to his late night gig after two weeks away.

"I think I've invented a new type of wedding ring. Let's talk...  Neil? Kay? Jared? #IGotIdeas," Fallon continued to joke.

LOL! We can't wait to see what Fallon's got up his sleeve. Or should we say, under his cast?
