Now this is a rock star!

Dave Grohl wasn't going to let a broken leg keep him away from the stage for too long. On Saturday, Independence Day, the 46-year-old Foo Fighters frontman took the stage with his band at their Fourth of July concert at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington, D.C., marking the group's first performance since he suffered his injury onstage less than a month ago.

Sporting a purple cast, Grohl sang and rocked out with his electric guitar while sitting on a giant, awesome makeshift throne, decorated with several guitars and stage lights. It's the Iron Throne...of rock!

Grohl had broken his leg after falling onstage during the Foo Fighters' concert Ullevi Stadium in Sweden on June 12. After his injury, he was treated at the scene and soon continued performing.

He underwent surgery and the band announced days later that they've been forced to cancel their remaining tour dates in Europe and the U.K., including a planned appearance at the 2015 Glastonbury Festival. Grohl had been spotted moving around on crutches in recent weeks.

"Thank You DC!!!" his band tweeted on Saturday.
