No makeup? No problem, mate!

Savannah Guthrie is beyond excited to be en route to Australia, but she's not worried about getting all dolled up for the long flight Down Under. So on Thursday morning just before takeoff, the Today co-anchor post an au naturel selfie to Facebook. "Makeup off. Glasses on," she captioned the pic. "Just 15 hours between me and Australia now!"

The 43-year-old journalist clearly isn't shy about posing for pictures sans fards. This past August, in fact, she was bare-faced when she introduced her brand new baby Vale to the world. Oddly enough, some people were surprised that the brand new mama didn't get her glam squad to drop by the hospital before she shared the first pics with her beautiful little girl.

"Honestly, it didn't even cross my mind to have fixed-up hair and makeup," she later told Today. "I figured everyone would be looking at little Vale, anyway. She is the star of the pictures, after all."

"Those pics were taken in the hospital room a few hours after she was born, so the only makeup I'm wearing is joy!!" she added. "Mike [Feldman, Savannah's husband] snapped the picture, so we have to compliment his photography skills."

When the first time mother heard fellow moms were complimenting her natural look, she said, "of course it made me feel good. But like any mother, the comments I love the most are those saying our little daughter is beautiful! Naturally, we agree."

As do we. Back to the latest no-makeup pic, though—what's Savannah planning to do Down Under? Well, the Today co-anchor was actually born in Australia, and now she and her mom Nancy Guthrie are returning and plan to explore all of Sydney's most iconic sites. Today will chronicle the mother-daughter duo's adventures in its "Savannah in Sydney" segments.

Live it up, ladies!
