The tables turned on Mark Ruffalo when an interviewer decided to ask him what were dubbed "sexist questions."

In a joint sit-down with The Avengers: Age of Ultron co-star Scarlett JohanssonCosmopolitan U.K. asked the 47-year-old actor, who reprises his role as The Hulk / Bruce Banner in the anticipated sequel, about issues that focus on his physical appearance. The interviewer noted that the actress, 30, "seemed to get stuck" with questions about her underwear and diet while promoting the first Avengers movie in 2012, so they decided to "flip it around."

Johansson seemed, well, pretty darn amused, especially when Ruffalo was asked about his red carpet poses and answered with a physical demonstration.

"Did they ever go, 'Mark! Over your shoulder!'" the actress asked him.

Ruffalo also revealed that no, he did not enjoy getting into shape for his role.

"I did some push-ups," he told Cosmopolitan U.K. "I have a prison routine that I do. But I don't like to go the gym very much if I can help it. Sorry. Banner isn't very, you know, I want Banner to look kinda like a normal person, too."

He also revealed what's actually behind all those special effects.

"Most of the stuff that I do is in a leotard and it's not a very flattering leotard," Ruffalo said. "I call it the 'man-canceling leotard.'"

The interview was posted on Wednesday, a day after Digital Spy posted an interview with co-stars Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner in which they jokingly called Johansson's character, Black Widow, a "slut" and a "whore." They later issued an apology.
