It must be tough being Michael B. Jordan.

The Fantastic Four star stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night and confessed that he hasn't met legendary basketball player Michael Jordan, despite sharing a moniker. It turns out, however, that he is named after his dad and not the former Chicago Bulls player.

"I wear my name with pride," the Fruitvale Station actor gushed. But that didn't stop host Jimmy Kimmel from asking him if he wished he shared a name with a "less popular" NBA player such as Will Perdue or B.J. Armstrong LOL. We can only guess that Michael B. secretly enjoys sharing a name with the sports legend because he even wears Air Jordan sneakers!

"I actually just asked them to give me a pair of me, and they sent them over," he joked of his footwear choice.

Michael B. also dished that he has seen the NBA player at parties such as the All Star Weekend events and wears his shoes "all the time," but still hasn't met him. "You think he would have summoned you at some point," Kimmel joked.

"That's how he does it, right?" Michael B. joked. "He just calls you over like 'Come here.'"

Not trying to make the young actor jealous, Kimmel revealed that he has actually been to one of the former basketball player's birthday parties. But when the former Parenthood actor asked Kimmel what he brought Michael as a birthday gift, the talk show host suspected Michael B. already knew the ending to this story.

"I was trying to think of a gift, and I brought him a basketball," Kimmel confessed.

With all of this discussion about the lack of friendship between Michael B. and legendary Michael, we can only hope that the two eventually will meet. Perhaps they could arrange something for when Creed, the Rocky spinoff in which Michael B. is starring, gets released.

We can just see it now: Two sports fans just bonding over another sports film. Michael, what say you?
