Why: Spring has finally sprung in New York City! And last night, a select group of New York City fashion influencers and bloggers joined E! Style Collective's Alicia Quarles—who stunned in a black leather mini dress and animal-print shoes—to get a sneak peek of ShoeDazzle's spring 2015 collection.
The private event, organized with help from KC You There, was outfitted with walls of greenery and sprouting shoes. The awe-inducing selection reinforced the idea that fashion does not need to be compromised by price—if the line has something for everyone. The shoes looked just as good on our feet, as we got to try our favorite pair from the collection and have our very own portrait sketched by Deanna First.
Knowing I was going to be in the presence of editors from Cosmo and Essence and New York's finest style bloggers (read: Bows & Sequins' Jessica Sturdy, Oh So Glam's Christina DeFilippo and more), I stepped up my game in a spring-ready, cropped top and skirt eyelet set from Zara and ShoeDazzle's retro-inspired Hidemi shoes in Black. After a dazzling (see what I did there?) dinner, we were gifted with hot-pink gift bags and some sweet-smelling candles.
The evening proved a perfect way to step into spring!
