Is Pretty Little Liars about to lose one of its four Liars?!

Fact: everyone in the TV world was shocked when Nina Dobrev announced she was leaving The Vampire Diaries after six seasons—even the leading ladies of other hit series, like Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale, who we actually ended up breaking the news to.

"Why?! That's so sad," she says. "Everyone has their reasons for doing things...I did not know that. People are going to be really upset and sad!"

Fortunately, PLL fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Hale assures E! News she isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

"I'll ride out Pretty Little Liars until it's dead because that has been such a launching pad for me and genuinely love and like the people I work with and I love the characters," she says. "Mainly, I'm just curious to see what happens!"

And Hale is so committed to the show that she says she's there until the series finale..."unless they just want to kill me off," she jokes, "other than that, I'm there!"

But she understands Dobrev's decision to exit TVD, saying, "I think everyone's situation is different. She probably has her reasons, which you can't hate on that. You have to respect that."

As for PLL's upcoming sixth season, Hale is just as excited as we all are to see Aria, Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) all grown-up as we exclusively reported that the show will stage a major time-jump, skipping the girls' college years.

"I don't know if I'm allowed to say how far into the future we jump, but it's a significant amount of time," Hale says. "You get to see the girls…who they're dating and how they've grown up and I think as an actress, that's really exciting to play because I've been playing 17 for six years and I'm like, 'I'm almost 10 years older than that!' So it will be fun to see how she's evolved."

But will Aria and Ezra (Ian Harding) be back together post-time-jump? And why is Hale talking about Ezria "babies"?! Press play on our exclusive interview with the PLL star above to find out!

Pretty Little Liars returns for its sixth season this summer on ABC Family.
