"Depleted" Angelina Turned to Guns, Action Movies

The actress speaks about how she dealt with the death of her mother

"I was depleted. I was in a state of just wanting to pull the covers over my head and cry about my mom. It was just too much. For me, there have been times when an action movie, even a Tomb Raider, has helped me get out of myself and be physical again. It's like therapy."

Angelina Jolie, telling The New York Times how she worked through the death of her mother, and prepared for her emotionally heavy role in Changeling, by signing on to do the shoot-'em-up Wanted.
