The "Wrecking Ball" singer's boyfriend, actor and University of Southern California student Patrick Schwarzenegger, had dinner with another former Disney Channel actress: Shake It Up's Bella Thorne. Schwarzenegger, 21, and Thorne, 17, dined with director Scott Speer, 32, at L.A.'s Mud Hen Tavern. (There's another Disney Channel connection, as Speer once dated High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale.)
Cyrus needn't worry about Thorne moving in on her man, however. The Duff star posed for a picture with Schwarzenegger during Wednesday's outing. "With my homie @patrickschwarzenegger if you aren't already following him you should," Thorne Instagrammed. "Disclaimer *** we are just friends."
Similarly, part-time model Schwarzenegger also dished on his night out via social media, telling his Twitter followers, "Good little dinner meet with @MrScottSpeer and @bellathorne cooooool stuff coming."
This Sunday, Thorne will introduce the Scream trailer and announce the series' premiere date at the MTV Movie Awards. The show is based on Wes Craven's horror movie franchise starring Neve Campbell. Perhaps Schwarzenegger will join Thorne and the rest of the cast? "Cant wait for this and amazing people worked on it! @bellathorne @JamieTravis," Speer tweeted Thursday, adding to the speculation.
In recent weeks, Schwarzenegger has been keeping a low profile in Malibu. After he was photographed with a woman during spring break in Mexico, he's only been spotted with Cyrus, 22, in public twice. The two are working through things privately, with a source telling E! News, "There is no breakup." An insider added, "Miley and Patrick have not been doing well. Some days great, others not."
Thorne's love life has been making headlines, too.
After E! News revealed that she was in "the early stages" of seeing Brandon Lee last month, Thorne opened up about their fledgling romance on ABC's The View.
"Brandon and I reconnected recently. We met during a breakup with my ex, and he's really sweet," Thorne, who split from Tristan Klier over the summer, revealed.
A week later, however, Thorne was seen locking lips with Ryan Nassif on the Los Angeles Lakers kiss cam. The two haven't publicly addressed the nature of their relationship, but on Apr. 8, they did exchange flirty messages via Twitter.
