Unless you're Matt Damon, John Krasinski, Bill Murray or anyone else in George Clooney's crew, it's probably not a good idea to come too close to the actor's Lake Como villas.

If you do get within 100 meters of Villa Oleandra or Villa Margherita, it could cost you! Per the U.K.'s Telegraph. Laglio mayor Roberto Pozzi has declared a fine of up to €500 (approximately $546) for anyone whose car or boat is parked within 100 meters of George's villas.

According to the report, Mayor Pozzi "issued the ordinance to guard the solace of the actor, his wife Amal Alamuddin [Clooney] and their entourage." In other words, the Clooneys would like some privacy, please!

This isn't the first time George has felt the love from Italian officials. In the summer of 2014, a similar ordinance was put in place to ensure the actor's privacy. This led many to speculate that George and Amal would say "I do's" in Laglio.

The couple opted for Venice instead, but Laglio residents—including the town's mayor—were hopeful to the end. "It would be fantastic," Mayor Pozzi told the Telegraph. "It would be the crowning glory to his presence here over the last 10 years."

Laglio's residents didn't feel snubbed, though—they're just happy to have him as one of their own. "He's returned Lake Como to a very high profile, not just in Europe but around the world," said the mayor. "Having him settle here was like winning the lottery for us. Following his example, some very rich people have moved in and bought villas which were in a state of semi-abandonment."

"They have restored them at a cost of millions and millions of euros and that has created work for builders, carpenters, gardeners," he added. "There are a lot of Russian buyers and now the Chinese are beginning to move in."
