It's important to stress that this person didn't just reject this college's rejection of her in a bitter, "Well, I didn't want to go there in the first place!" kind of way. She rejected their rejection in a "Screw you guys, I'm going to your school whether you like it or not!" kind of way.

17-year-old Siobhan O'Dell from North Carolina, also now known as our new hero, was so annoyed with Duke University's rejection letter that she decided to give them a taste of their own Blue Devil medicine. She basically pulled a Nick Miller when his girlfriend was breaking up with him on New Girl. She was Nick, and Duke was the girlfriend.

College rejection letters are rough, and a teenager can only take so much. So we don't blame Siobhan for biting back, and in fact, we applaud her for sending Duke a rejection to their rejection.

The letter, which she posted to her Tumblr page with the caption: "when you're salty and have nothing to lose," reads:

Dear Duke University Admissions,

Thank you for your rejection letter of March 26, 2015. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me admission into the Fall 2015 freshman class at Duke.

This year I have been fortunate enough to receive rejection letters from the best and brightest universities in the country. With a pool of letters so diverse and accomplished I was unable to accept reject letters I would have been able to only several years ago.

Despite Duke's outstanding success in rejecting previous applicants, you simply did not meet my qualifications. Therefore, I will be attending Duke University's 2015 freshmen class.

I look forward to seeing you then.
Siobhan O'Dell

We sincerely hope she shows up in Durham in the Fall with her mini-fridge, Bob Marley playing soccer poster and other college dorm room paraphernalia and just refuse to leave. We bet if she sticks to her guns long enough, Duke will just let her stay and she'll graduate with the best "how I got my college degree" story ever.
