Tim McGraw is sincerely sorry. Country music sorry. So sorry that he has a message for fans about his latest Greatest Hits album.

"I am saddened and disappointed that my label chose to put out another hits album instead of new music,” he says in a statement. "I had no involvement in the creation or presentation of this record."

McGraw's pissed that Curb Records is trying to milk him for all he's worth with the holiday-timed released. His most recent album, Let It Go, came out last year. And he has three new songs ready and hopes to have a studio album out in 2009.

"The whole concept is an embarrassment to me as an artist. In the spirit of an election year, I would simply say to my fans 'I'm Tim McGraw and I don’t approve their message.' "
