Laura Vandervoort, star of the Syfy series Bitten, and her fiancé Oliver Trevena have called off their engagement and broken up. A rep for Trevena confirmed the former couple's amicable separation to E! News earlier today.
"They broke up before the holidays," a source also told Us magazine. The breakup comes more than a year and a half after the pair first started dating.
The 30-year-old Canadian actress and her Brit beau got engaged on Dec. 31, 2013 during a New Year's Year proposal at a castle in England.
According to Us, "[They were] visiting a castle in England and it was a really romantic setting. Oliver told Laura to close her eyes at 11:11 and when she opened her eyes he was down on one knee. She was totally surprised and he gave her a vintage diamond ring. She's over the moon and so happy."
Shortly after he popped the question, Vandervoort debuted her gorgeous diamond engagement ring on the red carpet in early 2014.
