Et tu, Jason Jones?

The Daily Show is losing yet another familiar face, with Jones confirming today that he's leaving the Comedy Central show and will be starring in his own family sitcom on TBS.

Which is great for him, but pretty crappy for Daily Show fans who are still reeling from the news that host Jon Stewart could be leaving as soon as July.

"For 9 & 1/2 years, I have worked at one of the greatest TV shows of all time. But... It is time for me to go," Jones tweeted this morning. "That said, I am ecstatic to announce that I'm about to make another great show over @tbsveryfunny."

Jones has served as senior [insert anything here] correspondent as part of "the best f#@king news team ever" since 2005. His wife, Samantha Bee, has been on the show since 2003—which brings us to the question, does this mean that Bee, who's an executive producer on her hubby's as yet untitled new show, is leaving, too?

Happily...Bee is sticking around, according to Comedy Central.

No exit date for Jones has been announced, but can we at least assume his exit will precede Stewart's?

Stewart revealed earlier this month that he'd be retiring from The Daily Show, which existed before him but really came to fruition under his 16-plus-year watch, some time in 2015.
