Keep the praise comin' for Michael Keaton!

The original Batman star has staged one of the most-talked about comebacks of the year, thanks to his stellar work in the dark dramedy Birdman. And Keaton's comeback tour has lead him to the 2015 Oscars where he's up for Best Actor, and the 63-year-old told Ryan Seacrest that he will "never get bored" of the attention he's been receiving for Birdman

"I never get tired of it. I never get bored with it. I don't take it for granted. It's extraordinary," Keaton said on the red carpet. "I actually think you dig it more the longer you're around. I think you appreciate it more and you get it more. I can't explain it...I'm very present in the whole thing, just kind of enjoying it!"

Surprisingly enough, this is Keaton's first Oscar nomination ("I'm shocked, too!" he joked with Seacrest), but he has attended Hollywood's biggest night before. "I presented many years ago, so much has changed since then," he explained. "There's so much more attention on the whole thing now then there was 10 of 15 years ago."

Of course, the interview eventually turned to one of the awards season's biggest breakout stars, Keaton's songwriter son, Sean Douglas!

After listing some of the amazing artists his son's been working, including Demi Lovato and Madonna, Keaton revealed his son was his guest for the evening, but was probably being interviewed himself, joking, "They don't care about me anymore!"
