While Tyler Perry's son may be barely three months old, the wee one is no stranger to star-studded celebrations.
The entertainment mogul's only child—son Aman, whom he welcomed with longtime girlfriend, Gelila Bekele in late November—was christened on Sunday in front of a number of daddy's famous friends, including Oprah Winfrey, Cicely Tyson, Oliver Ripley, Jennifer Hudson and Gayle King.
Perry took to Instagram on Monday to commemorate the event, posting a shot of the media mogul posing alongside the adorable decor while thanking his son's "great Godparents."
"What a special day," he wrote. "Thank you Oprah, Oliver, and Cicely. I know my son has great Godparents. To be born in love is a beautiful thing."
Talk about an impressive line-up...what a lucky little guy!
Per Perry's Facebook page, his son was christened in a church the actor built in his backyard, which is "almost a direct replica" of the one his mother grew up in.
"It was in her honor," he posted of the christening, "I know she was with us in spirit. Thank you to all our family and friends for joining us."
Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, Bill and Kori Withers and Smokie Norfu all performed at the event, which took place at the producer's Beverly Hills home.
"The greatest gift I'm being given right now is the opportunity to give the little boy in me everything I never had, so that's what I'm excited about," Perry told Extra before the birth of his son. "This beautiful human being that God has allowed to come into my life for me to get to know, because they come with their own personalities, who they are, to shepherd and usher him...into whatever the child is supposed to be is what I'm going to do."
