Tori Spelling does not think that she has said (or screamed or cried) too much on True Tori.

"We let it all hang out," she acknowledged the nature of her Lifetime show during a holiday-themed appearance on The Meredith Vieira Show, airing Wednesday, that includes a tree-decorating, present-wrapping, turkey-stuffing showdown between the host and her guest.

But along with the healthy dose of the Christmas spirit, Vieira of course asked about the family drama that's been plaguing Spelling and husband Dean McDermott since reports that he cheats first surfaced nearly a year ago.

"I don't," Spelling replied when asked if she thought they ever revealed too much on the show, "because if everything hadn't been made as public as it was, I would have chosen to deal with this privately with my husband."

Well, exactly.

Asked to clarify for those who might not have heard, Spelling explained, "We're talking about the affair that my husband had, almost a year ago, and I just chose to deal with it because it was my journey, my truth and women everywhere go through this. I wanted to put it out there."

The emotional rawness and at times relentlessly upsetting tone of True Tori has, at times, had audiences wondering whether some—or all—of the drama has been stirred up to make for better television. But that was not the case, with even McDermott himself questioning how much more he could put himself out there like that, feeling as though he's been made to look like a monster week after week.

"It's completely cathartic for me, and it's very individual," Spelling said. "I know everyone has an opinion about me putting my life and relationship out there. It's something, I needed that, I didn't have a voice for so long, it's almost the way I was raised."

But McDermott has said that True Tori's second season will be his last.

Asked if Dean's exit would mean curtains for the show, Tori told Meredith, "I don't think so.

"For me, it's True Tori. I have a lot more to tell. I have four children, I'm a mom, I'm a woman—and I want to go on."

Wait, there's more to tell?!

In the meantime, the family has been chugging along. Tori recently shared the family's latest holiday card, featuring her, Dean and kids Liam, Stella, Hattie and Finn, and she and her hubby engaged in a full-on lip-lock while making the interview rounds during a trip to New York. Over the weekend the six of them road-tripped from L.A. to Las Vegas and Tori and Dean enjoyed date night at a Jane's Addiction concert at the Brooklyn Bowl.

While in New York, Dean told Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on Today that, yes, he was done with True Tori, but it wasn' bad.

"Don't get me wrong. I'm not pooh-poohing the show and the whole experience I've had," he said. "I've learned a lot about myself, our relationship—it's been a good process,. But as it goes and continues, it's taking a toll on me. It's not good for me. It's different for everybody. If it works for T, that's great, but I'm finding I'm having a hard time with it."
