Leave it to a Charlie Brown controversy to make the parents sound a little confusing.

The Parents Television Council put out a statement today blasting ABC for showing a very racy sex scene on Scandal right after the airing of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown on Oct. 30.

"Shame on ABC for putting a peep show next to a playground. In less than 26 seconds we were taken from the Peanuts pumpkin patch to a steamy Scandal sex scene," PTC president Tim Winter said.

Along with their statement, the PTC included a link to this video, which shows a quick flash of a Marvel commercial and then the start of Scandal, with a little bit of swimming in a pool and then Kerry Washington and Scott Foley in bed together...

Well, we checked back on to our own DVR's, and oddly enough, we had a distinctively different transition than the PTC's clip, with a longer transition from the end of Charlie Brown to Scandal. Our transition was about 30 seconds longer. Check it out

A rep for the PTC says that their video was not edited and was taken from the East Coast feed. Ours was also taken from the East Coast feed.

ABC is not commenting.

So perhaps we can rack this up as…another Great Pumpkin mystery?

And in all fairness, let the record show, no one was more offended by that sexy dream sequence—in which Olivia fantasized about both Jake and Fitz—than "Olake" and "Olitz" fans. No one.
