There are plenty of reasons to be excited for the big-screen release of Annie.

Whether it's wanting to watch Quvenzhané Wallis as the main character or to see how Jay Z and Will Smith produce a major movie, fans have multiple excuses to see the holiday film.

But for many moviegoers, they really just can't wait to see Cameron Diaz sing.

"[I] sing okay. Like fairly well, yeah," Diaz said Monday during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I did a lot of training, as much as I could."

And while she made her big screen singing debut in My Best Friend's Wedding, the 42-year-old assures fans that was an entirely different scenario.

"That was more true to my voice, but that's my karaoke voice, you see," she joked to Ellen DeGeneres. "I had to actually have a voice for this song, for this film."

In Diaz's defense, Bobby Cannavale recently gushed to E! News about his co-star's vocal talents. Turns out the new Miss Hannigan has some serious pipes.

"We've been singing and dancing in rehearsals for the last month," he shared during filming. "Cameron Diaz and I have a big dance number….She's pretty good, you know."

The highly anticipated film adaption, set to be released Dec. 19, will also bring Diaz and Jamie Foxx together again for the first time since the release of Any Given Sunday.

"We were just babies," Diaz joked while discussing the 1999 film.

"You were a trooper too, because you had to walk in the locker room with like…naked men," Foxx added.

And if you're wondering if Diaz got to see Foxx's junk back in the day, we have the answer.

"I was naked when the camera was off," Foxx joked. "Because I didn't want everyone to go crazy."

Well played, Jamie.
