Hayden Panettiere is about to become a mom!

The Nashville star, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko, has been keeping a low profile as she prepares for her newest family member.

But in a new interview with Hello! magazine, the actress is expressing plenty of enthusiasm for her upcoming arrival.

"I'm so ready to hold my baby girl—I'm going to be a very hands on mom," she told the publication. "I'm thrilled that I am having a girl first because I feel like I know a lot about raising a strong woman. I feel very empowered myself and I think my daughter will, too."

Panettiere, who recently showed off her baby bump in a revealing Halloween costume, is also going where not many celebs go. She's talking about her weight gain while expecting.

"I'm 5 feet, 2 inches and I started out at 106 pounds and guess how much I weight now? Around 145 pounds," she revealed. "And the worst part is that my feet are still size five and they're going, ‘What's going on with all this weight?' They're about to snap from underneath me with the strain."

The actress believes much of the pounds can be attributed to water weight and her past experience of being a gymnast.

"I'm still quite muscular, so if you're running around carrying 40 pounds of extra weight, you're going to build extra muscle," she explained.

No matter what size she is, Panettiere can count on both her mom and her man for much-needed support. When asked about Klitschko, the 25-year-old revealed, "He's such a resilient guy. He's so calm and patient. I have never even heard this man raise a voice."

And although fans are still eagerly waiting for that beautiful wedding, Panettiere makes it clear that we will have to wait until the baby weight comes off.

"I'll tell you one thing for sure: I am not walking down the aisle 40 pounds heavier than usual in a wedding dress with a huge pregnancy belly stitched in," she said. "Not happening."

Let's be honest, she would still look absolutely pretty.
