Were you surprised to find out that Sherri Shepherd was leaving The View? So was Elisabeth Hasselbeck!

In fact, she revealed Friday on Fox & Friends that she was "shocked, in some ways," to learn that her pal was exiting the ABC morning show after seven years.

Elisabeth, who was a co-host on The View from 2003 up until her 2013 shift to Fox & Friends, explained, "You know, I'm sure, even though you think that might happen someday, I'm sure it would come across to be a shock."

"I haven't spoken to her in person yet," she noted. "Set to happen, though."

Sherri isn't the only one saying goodbye to The View, though. After just one year on the show, co-host Jenny McCarthy confirmed Thursday that she would also not be returning to the daytime program.

"If Sherri goes... I go too. #sisters," she tweeted. "My View will be chaining too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year."

Barbara Walters retired from her co-host role last month (although she'll remain an executive producer of the show). Now, with Sherri and Jenny out of the picture as well, Whoopi Goldberg is The View's only remaining permanent co-host.
