The Hunger Games Actor Cast as Daredevil's Best Friend Foggy Nelson in Netflix Series

Elden Henson will play the role in Marvel's Daredevil series

Meet Daredevil's best friend, Elden Henson. The Hunger Games and Mighty Ducks veteran will play Foggy Nelson in the upcoming Daredevil series on Netflix.

"Elden plays one of the most important characters in the world of Marvel's Daredevil, and we're thrilled to see Foggy Nelson brought to life by such an incredibly talented actor," Jeph Loeb, head of television at Marvel, said in a statement. "He perfectly captures the heart and soul of this series, bringing an added resonance to Matt Murdock's fight against the injustice in their great city."

Foggy Nelson is Matt Murdock's best friend and legal partner who has become friends to many people from all walks of life in the community. Jon Favreau played the character in the Daredevil feature film.

Boardwalk Empire's Charlie Cox will play Matt Murdock, a lawyer who gains special abilities after an accident leaves him blind and becomes Daredevil to fight crime in Hell's Kitchen, New York City. Vincent D'Onofrio will play Wilson Fisk (aka The Kingpin) and Rosario Dawson has been cast in a mysterious role. Dawson's character is described as "a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell's Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city."

Will she be Elektra? Echo? Typhoid Mary? Somebody else?

Marvel's Daredevil will be 13 episodes and hails from Spartacus and Buffy veteran Steven S. DeKnight, Buffy and Lost's Drew Goddard and Loeb.
