Chris Colfer gave Hillary Clinton quite a thrill Thursday!

The Glee actor surprised the former Secretary of State during her Barnes & Noble book signing in L.A. Clinton was autographing her memoir when Colfer introduced himself, catching the politician off-guard.

Clinton, 66, signed her name and then posed for a picture with Colfer, 24. "I met @HillaryClinton today!!!" he tweeted. "Not sure if I embarrassed myself, can't remember anything I said...#adrenaline."

Just Jared reports that Colfer waited in line to meet Clinton, just like the rest of the morning's attendees.

According to its publisher, Hard Choices sold more than 100,000 copies during its first week The book earned the No. 1 spot on the nonfiction hardcover list of The New York Times that comes out June 29. Clinton's prior memoir, Living History, sold around 600,000 copies during its opening week in June 2003.

Like Clinton, Colfer is also a writer. His new book, The Land of Stories: A Grimm Warning, is out July 8.

After Clinton's book signing, she was honored with the William O. Douglas Award from Public Counsel.
