It's a sad evening for us Game of Thrones fans, as another season of our beloved fantasy drama has come to an end. It certainly didn't go quietly, however, as several more characters lost their lives and we'd like to say a few words in honor of them.  Warning, major spoilers ahead!

Tonight, we lost Jojen Reed. We didn't know him all that well, but he was a great help to Bran Stark, as he used his psychic dreams to lead Bran to the big tree and the three-eyed raven, who turned out to be an old man who lived inside the tree. Jojen lost his life to one of the skeleton monsters guarding the entrance to the tree and we later learned that he knew all along that he was sacrificing himself to get Bran where he needed to be.

We also said goodbye to Sandor Clegane, also known as "The Hound," but at least some of his last moments were spent participating in a truly epic fight against Brienne of Tarth, perhaps Clegane's equal in terms of badassery. The final blow sent him tumbling down a mountain, where he begged Arya to put him out of his misery. Instead, she robbed him and walked away. While we did not actually see him die, we're pretty sure he did. While the Hound was truly a nasty guy, he did sort of protect Arya, so we felt the slightest twinge of sadness as he yelled after Arya to kill him.

In the sequence that shocked us most tonight, we lost two characters in ridiculously surprising ways. After being freed from his cell and sharing a sweet goodbye with his brother Jaime, Tyrion did not flee the castle. Instead, he headed to Tywin's room, where he found Shae waiting on the bed. She grabbed a knife, and Tyrion jumped on top of her. They fought for a while before Tyrion eventually ended up strangling her. He sat for a moment and cried, but then grabbed his father's crossbow off the wall and headed down the hall. He found his father sitting on the toilet and after confessing that he had just killed Shae, he shot Tywin. Twice. So now the most powerful man in Westeros is dead and we're left to wonder what's next.

Of course, because this is the Internet, we can't let deaths just be deaths. We have to rank them, obviously, according to how much they shocked us and how important the character was, so we've added tonight's casualties to our official list of the most shocking Game of Thrones deaths so far. Check out the gallery to find out where they rank and then head on down to the comments to let us know if you agree!
